Author Guidelines

Jurnal Riset dan Inovasi Teknik Sipil (JURASI)


A. General Requirements

To meet the minimum standards of Jurnal Riset dan Inovasi Teknik Sipil (JURASI), submissions must adhere to the following criteria:

  • Manuscripts should be written in Indonesian or English and must include an abstract and keywords in English.

  • The paper must be formatted in A4 size.

  • The text should be typed in two columns.

  • Line spacing should be single.

  • Margin formatting should be: Top 1.9 cm, Bottom 4.13 cm, Left 1.43 cm, and Right 1.43 cm, using mirror margins.

  • The manuscript must use Times New Roman, 10-point font, and be prepared using Microsoft Word.

  • Figures must be numbered sequentially, with titles placed below each figure using single spacing.

  • Tables must be numbered sequentially, with titles placed above each table using single spacing.

  • Author names must include complete affiliation addresses and corresponding email addresses.

  • Manuscripts should be between 6–10 pages. Papers exceeding 10 pages will be evaluated by the editors.

  • Authors should use reference management tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote and follow the APA citation style.

  • Manuscripts must follow the official Jurnal Riset dan Inovasi Teknik Sipil (JURASI) template.

  • Submissions must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics Statement and Copyright Policy.


B. Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Riset dan Inovasi Teknik Sipil (JURASI) should follow the structure below:


Title

The title should be written in sentence case, without acronyms or abbreviations, and should clearly reflect the focus of the study.


Abstract

The abstract should provide a concise summary of the manuscript, not exceeding 250 words, written in Times New Roman font and single spacing. The abstract should not contain citations and must include:

  • background of the problem,

  • research objectives or proposed solution,

  • research design and methods,

  • results, and

  • conclusions.


Section Structure

Articles must follow the IMRaD format:

  • Introduction

  • Methods

  • Results and Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgment (optional)

  • References


Introduction

The introduction should explain the importance of the research, describe the problem or context motivating the study, review relevant literature, identify research gaps, and explain how the study addresses these gaps. Any research hypotheses should be presented at the end of this section.


Methods

This section should describe how the study was conducted, including population, sample, research procedures, materials, and equipment used. The description must be detailed enough to allow replication of the study. The methods section is typically written in the past tense and may include subheadings.


Results and Discussion

The Results section presents research findings using tables and figures where appropriate. Tables must have captions above, and figures must have captions below.

The Discussion section should:

  • interpret the main findings,

  • relate findings to existing research,

  • explain study limitations, and

  • suggest directions for future research.


Conclusion

The conclusion should summarize the main findings and explain how the results support the research objectives, relate to previous studies, and contribute to scientific knowledge.


References

Manuscripts must include a minimum of 20 references, with at least five references from the last ten years unless older sources are necessary. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of references, while editors reserve the right to correct grammar and make necessary editorial adjustments.
